Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 August 20261. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly, improve performance, and provide information to site operators. Some cookies are stored only for the duration of your browser session ("session cookies"), while others remain on your device for a set period ("persistent cookies").
The CONCAM platform uses cookies mainly for essential functionality. On our public marketing site, and only with your consent, we also use Google Ads cookies to measure advertising effectiveness (see Section 2.3). No advertising cookies are set unless you accept the Marketing category, and we use no other third-party tracking cookies.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled. No consent is required under EU ePrivacy Directive for strictly necessary cookies.
| Cookie Name | Set By | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Clerk (clerk.concam.lt) | Maintains your authenticated session so you stay signed in. | Session |
| __client_uat | Clerk (clerk.concam.lt) | Tracks the last active session update; used for session synchronisation. | 1 year |
| __clerk_db_jwt | Clerk (clerk.concam.lt) | Browser session identifier used during the authentication flow. | Session |
| __clerk_handshake | Clerk (clerk.concam.lt) | Temporary token used during the authentication handshake process. | Short-lived |
| NEXT_LOCALE | concam.lt (first-party) | Remembers your chosen interface language (Lithuanian, English or Swedish) so pages load in that language on your next visit. Set when you use the language switcher or open a language-specific link. | 1 year |
| concam_share_unlock_* | concam.lt (first-party) | Remembers that you entered the correct password for a password-protected shared project view, so you are not asked again on every image. Set only when you unlock such a view. | 12 hours |
2.2 Local Storage (not cookies)
We also use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your cookie consent preference so we don't ask again on every visit. In addition, when you make a choice we record it on our servers — the categories you accepted, the date and time, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent — so we can demonstrate that consent was given (GDPR Art. 7(1)). You can change your choice at any time via 'Cookie settings' in the footer.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| concam_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie preference ('all' or 'necessary'). | Until cleared by user |
| concam_cookie_consent_date | Records the date you last set your cookie preference. | Until cleared by user |
| concam_cookie_consent_version | Records which cookie-policy version your choice was made against, so we can re-ask if the policy changes. | Until cleared by user |
| concam_theme | Remembers your light or dark appearance preference. | Until cleared by user |
2.3 Marketing Cookies (Google Ads)
With your consent (set via the cookie banner), we load Google's gtag.js to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns we run on Google Ads and to enable conversion tracking. Until you consent, the tag operates in Google Consent Mode v2 with all advertising signals denied — no advertising cookies are set on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer. Below are the cookies that may be set after you accept this category:
| Cookie Name | Set By | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_aw | Google Ads (googleadservices.com) | Stores click identifiers from Google Ads to attribute conversions to ad campaigns. | 90 days |
| _gcl_dc | Google Ads | Stores DoubleClick click identifiers for cross-domain conversion tracking. | 90 days |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Used by Google Tag Manager to store and track conversion events. | 90 days |
| IDE | *.doubleclick.net | Used by Google to deliver, measure, and report on advertising shown to you on Google services. | 13 months |
| NID | google.com | Stores user preferences and recent searches to personalise Google services and ads. | 6 months |
Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited act as independent controllers (or joint controllers, depending on the cookie) for the data collected via these cookies. See Google's privacy policy for details: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Legal Basis
Our use of strictly necessary cookies is based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional and secure service, and on the performance of our contract with you. These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended by 2009/136/EC) and its national implementations across the EU/EEA countries we operate in.
If we introduce non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics), these will require your explicit, freely given, informed, and unambiguous consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Our website statistics are collected with a self-hosted, cookieless tool (Umami) that sets no cookies, stores no identifiers on your device and keeps no personal data; it is described in Privacy Policy Section 3.7 and requires no consent.
4. How to Manage Your Preferences
4.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit the CONCAM platform, a cookie banner is shown. You can accept all cookies or choose necessary cookies only. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the button below:
4.2 Browser Settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the platform from functioning correctly and you will not be able to remain signed in.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
5. Third-Party Cookies
The authentication cookies listed in Section 2.1 are set on the clerk.concam.lt subdomain by our authentication processor (Clerk Inc., USA) under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). The clerk.concam.lt subdomain is operated by Clerk on our behalf as part of the platform's authentication infrastructure. For further details on how authentication data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
We do not embed any social media widgets or other third-party trackers, apart from the consent-gated Google Ads conversion tag on our public marketing site described in Section 2.3. No advertising cookies are set unless you consent to the Marketing category.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use or if legislation changes. Material updates will be communicated via the cookie banner and/or email to registered users.
